Adventure Girl would like to inform you that she is ready to flee this hell city for the ethereal mountains of her imagination.
She's packed up all her essentials: a toothbrush, a giant supply of trail mix, night-vision goggles, her favorite sketchbook, and a portrait of her yeti friend (to remember what they look like for when she finally meets them again). She needs a reminder, because it's easy to disappear into the vast landscape of this foggy mountain land. Within minutes--maybe days--her camouflaging will begin. Feathers will sprout from the handwoven cloth on her hood and her back like the thick blades of grass that cover the craggy rocks, and ice will cling to her--but it won't be uncomfortable as she adapts to the place she's meant to be. She'll keep her home stashed beneath her feathery yoke, ready to unfurl like something between a parachute and a tent and provide refuge with its delicate protection. Here, she will be invincible. And so with her house on her back and her pockets full of promise, she sets out across the vista to find her friend and her sanctuary.
